TRIED AND TRUE SMOOTHIE RECIPES
Dec 10, 2019The trick to effective smoothies is to keep it simple, 2-3 fruits, a fat, protein and maybe a green item. Here are some of my go-to’s.
STEPH’S FAVORITE
- ¼ cup cherries
- ¼ cup blueberries
- ¼ avocado
- 1-2 scoops your favorite protein powder
- ½ cup almond/coconut/hemp milk
- Optional Adds: cacao nibs, kale
PEACHES WITH KALE
- ½ cup frozen organic peaches
- ¾ cup organic fresh or frozen kale, cut into strips
- ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
- ¾ cup organic coconut Water
- 1-2 scoops your favorite protein powder
- ½ cup ice
MOCHA MORNING PICK ME UP
- ¾ cup almond milk, vanilla
- ½ cup Cold Brew Organic Coffee, optional (prepare at home the night before or buy pre-made. Cold brew is much less acidic than typical hot brewed coffee)
- 1 TBL organic almond butter
- 1 heaping tsp. raw cacao powder
- 1-2 scoops your favorite protein powder
- ¼-1/2 cup ice
DRAGON FRUIT
- 1 frozen package dragon fruit
- ½ cup frozen organic mangos, strawberries, or pineapple
- ¾ cup organic coconut water
- 1 TBL green powder, optional
- 1-2 scoops your favorite protein powder
ROOT CAUSE
- 1 cup mixed baby greens
- 2 large carrots
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 cucumber
- 1 bunch basil leaves
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1-2 scoops your favorite protein powder
- Sea salt
